This week has been super crazy two thumbs down sorta week!
My dishwasher decided it was time to fulfill the prophecy I created and it flooded my kitchen creating major water damage to my house, big un-happy face!
I am in the process of putting together some online classes and promise in the near future it will happen.
My crazy day job, kids and house have been pulling me away.

Much LOVE!

I am so in love with my work coming to life in 3D! all the little faces, dreams, creatures and friends brought to life in porcelain.
I remember the very first pottery class I attended in Revelstoke, BC., way up in the small little mountain town I adored, I fell in love with clay as a medium instantly!
I am so grateful every day I am finally in a place, settled and have the resources to create clay on a more regular basis.

New Pottery Shop!!

Exciting News is on the way!!
I am so close to nearing completion of my home ceramic studio complete with two production kilns!
This means just around the corner I will be releasing a new line of tiny tea cups, bud vases and one of a kind art plates for sale on Etsy.
I will have a new shop name for the pottery shop

The shop is semi open now as I am in the process of setting up but expect to see it fully stocked by end of November!

One of  my all time favorite artists Jesse Narens will be showing his work in
Portland Oregon at Akasu, December 5th.

His work is so free, filled with symbolic meaning, connections to nature. His symbolic creatures at times remind me of BC Aboriginal art mixed with a raw soulful street art vibe. I love, love his limited color palette and strong movement deep in each layer of his pieces. He brings me to imaginary places  I frequented often  growing up as a lonely child.
I have met Jesse in person and he is also a lovely soul. A very soft spoken person...one gets the feeling he has walked this earth for a very long time.
Please check out his website for more information

New Watercolor Illustrations in my Etsy Shop

Two new lovelies added to my shop today. I have had to push so hard these days to get into a space where I can be quiet enough to be simple in watercolor and illustration, my first real love.

I have been away from posting for the last few weeks due to a very tragic death to a very dear boy close to our hearts.
Daniel was my oldest son's very best childhood friend and this event took hold of our hearts deeply...
During my usual morning catch up on emails, photo editing, etc. I happened to land on Flickr on a day when they were highlighting 'wishing trees' with beautiful pictures of healing written words hanging from trees....
I was so inspired I started a 'wishing tree' in memory of our beloved Daniel for all who loved him to go to the tree and keep his spirit alive through our hopes and dreams......blowing in the wind out to the universe drifting up so they may come true.
Read more about the story here DANIEL
