Someone please tell me when
it happens......when do they go from this ........eating your blanket for comfort and security to...... This......mom, I want my hair dyed black with a bold blond streak in the center and snake bites??? I heard from all those folks how fast it goes and really when you are in the middle of the heat you do not or can not comprehend what they mean......it does go really fast. I am so proud of my middle son, straight A's, student counsel, band very social and outgoing, socially conscience and thoughtful...I do enjoy watching , helping, and being there, for the child to teen transformation that goes on in a child's life....it is such a huge change for everyone that if you blink all of a sudden you turn around and some MAN voice is talking in your house and you think who is that????

I have a daughter about to turn 12 and I'm beginning to realize what a fine line there is in parenting...it's like we are walking on a high wire with no net and every move we make is so important yet the moves have to be small and steady so they can become empowered...
i think his hair looks great...

Love, love, love the new streak of color......how handsome

My son is rapidly approaching 32. I recall when he died his hair BLUE ! Then in a feeble attempt at returning to normal it became YELLOW. Finally it was all shaved off. He spent the better part of a year with a hat on his head. Too funny, but I never told him that.

i know where you're coming from. i have a sophomore in high school and one in junior high. are they growing that fast? am i really that old? where did the time go? where's the pause button? :D (oh and my daughter had blue hair for awhile. the boy bleached his hair. i think it's one of the few things they feel they can control. :) )

I can so relate. What happened to the little bear costume and green rubber boots he wore for a year? He is now starting school as a senior. He of course knows everything!!!!!

I just stumbled upon your work and love it....just love it. I have two sons, 6 and 4 and they are growing up so fast. I teach 6th grade art PT at a middle school and swore I'd never teach MS having hated it so much myself. Everyday I look at those kids (and I really like them) and think, ahhhh!...mine will be that big soon, that awkward, that silly, that tween. I'm really trying to scoop up what I can right now, even the tough stuff. It does go by quickly.
